NEW STATE OF FL REQUIRMENT FOR NEW ADULT STUDENTS - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

In order to receive the Florida resident tuition rate, ALL new students must provide TWO REQUIRED forms of documents proving residency for the LAST 12 MONTHS!  These original documents must be brought to the school in order to register and receive the Florida tuition rate.

George T. Baker Aviation School is located at 3275 N.W. 42 Avenue, adjacent to the Miami International Airport. The school is a public, tax-supported institution authorized by the Florida Department of Education and operated by the Miami-Dade County Public School System. It is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and the National Center for Aircraft Technician Training (NCATT) and is certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration under Part 147 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. Certificate # CT9T072R.

NEW STATE OF FLORIDA REQUIRMENT FOR NEW ADULT STUDENTS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!

In order to receive the Florida resident tuition rate, ALL new adult students must provide TWO REQUIRED forms of documents proving residency for the LAST 12 MONTHS!  These original documents must be brought to the school in order to register and receive the Florida tuition rate, otherwise, you will be charged the out of state fee (approx. 3x in-state fee!).

The Required TWO Documents are:

At least one of the following:

  • Employment Full-time 30/hrs per week for the last 12 months
  • Florida ID/Driver's License at least 12 months old
  • Vehicle Registration at least 12 months old
  • Proof of Homestead Exemption at least 12 months old
  • Official, sealed High School Transcript
  • Voter's Registration Card at least 12 months old

One of the two documents can be one of the following:

  • Certified letter from state, federal, non-profit, or court document evidencing legal ties to Florida indicating consecutive residency for the last 12 months
  • Certificate of Domicile indicating consecutive residency for the last 12 months
  • Official, sealed transcript from a Florida based educational institution indicating consecutive residency for the last 12 months
  • Lease agreement indicating 12 consecutive months of payments
  • Membership in a Florida based charitable or professional organization with letter or membership card issued at least 12 months prior
  • Florida Incorporation that is current and issued at least 12 months prior
  • Professional or occupational license issued by the State which grants permission to work in Florida
  • Utility Bill with proof of 12 consecutive months of payment - service must be current and in the name of the applicant.
